It is with great sadness that the family of David Frederick Ives announce his passing on February 15, 2026, in Winnipeg. Born in Wellington, Somerset, David lived a life defined by devotion to family, skilled craftsmanship, adventure, and steadfast faith.
David was the beloved husband of DeEtta Ives for nearly 52 years. He is survived by his children, Adrienne (Richard) Loeppky, Aaron Ives, and Jesse (Jess) Ives; grandchildren, Jayden and Camryn Loeppky, and Leah and Maggie Ives; siblings, Tony (Lona) Ives, Deborah Kraubner, Wayne (Sarah) Ives, and Diane (John) Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
David was known for his integrity, humour, mentorship, and faith in Christ, which guided his life and work. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 26, 2026. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Harte Trail.
